About
Encouraged to move to Los Angeles by Tim Carmon, Eddie Pimentel won a scholarship from "The Musicians Foundation in Los Angeles" to study music at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood and received an ESP brand guitar, which came with his admission to the college.
Over nearly two years in L.A., he took classes and played with guitarists such as Stuart Ziff (War), Vadim Zilberstein (Earth, Wind & Fire), Dean Brown (Marcus Miller), Adam Hawley (Jennifer Lopez), Scott Henderson, and Carl Verheyen (Supertramp), among others.
In 2015, he was awarded the "Outstanding Player Award," the best guitarist of the year award at the Musicians Institute's graduation ceremony.
"This award symbolizes in a very intense way the culmination of a highly challenging journey for me, which was graduating from the world's most important music school, the Musicians Institute. It was like closing the best time of my life with a golden key, giving more than special meaning to that intense journey of dedication to music studies and honing my art with the guitar. From then on, everything kept expanding non-stop in my career, culminating in another achievement, which was my first solo career release with the single 'When The Rain Sustains.'"
With influences from BB King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, and Robert Cray, the five tracks from the One Way Home album will be released by the international distributor CDBaby, the largest online distributor of independent music in the world, throughout this year.
